Of course! Now, masonry professionals at every level can acquire the training they need to be the best in the business – and the recognition they deserve for getting there. The Utah Masonry Council is pleased to offer you one of the most important competitive tools since the trowel: Certification.
First and foremost, it requires a commitment to excellence in service, workmanship, and business practices. Second, participants must have at least two years’ experience in the masonry industry. And finally, it will take up to 11 days of your time over the next two years. Depending on the certification level you seek, you must attend 6, 9 or 10 program courses. Once you complete the program, you’ll be awarded designation as a Utah Masonry Council Certified Mason Contractor, Certified Masonry Professional, or Certified Masonry Specialist. Note: You do not have to belong to UMC to be certified, but UMC members will receive substantial tuition discounts.
You’ll enhance your understanding of every aspect of masonry design, construction, marketing and management. You’ll gain the know-how to grow your business and increase your bottom-line. You’ll earn objective verification of your expertise. And last but not least, you’ll give your customers a valuable prequalification tool.
Very, very good. All of these courses have been designed by professionals who understand the range and depth of knowledge it takes to be a qualified player in this industry. UMC certification courses will be taught by leading specialists in the areas of construction, engineering, architecture, law, finance, management consulting, and human resources.
In fact, most of these experts have been presenting their certification seminars in other states for several years. UMC is bringing these talented people to Utah so we can also utilize their wealth of knowledge.
Every principal and supervisory employee of every masonry contracting company within and outside our organization. This program will also benefit owners and senior professionals (especially sales & marketing representatives) of masonry manufacturing companies, suppliers and distributors.
The goal is simple: Let's all get smarter about everything it takes to serve our customers better and run our businesses more profitably. And, let's make sure we spread this knowledge to everyone working in the field, where it will result in better workmanship and a safer work environment.
Choose the level of certification that's right for you. Look at the enclosed chart to determine which courses you need to take. Then, fax in your registration form (1.888.428.2209).
